Studio Refurbishment
In September 2017, Dana and Neil Clarke planned, designed, and executed the conversion of an old studio into a modern living space based around principles of ergonomics and holistic design.
An experiment in first-time building, the project included plastering, fixing, painting, and furniture making, and used wood from salvaged theatre sets.
The duo aimed to maximize the limited space, making use of the high ceilings for vertical planning. Cupboards, bookshelves, wardrobes and storage spaces were all constructed above 1.5m, allowing floor space for desks and a recreation area.
